Pay what you weigh
Ostfriesland Hotel (sadly no website!) has introduced an innovative/crazy new billing policy at its hotel where their guest’s nightly rate will be determined by their … weight - to be exact half a Euro per kilo, which means I’ll be paying a very reasonable 37.5 euros.
Juergen Heckrodt, owner of the hotel business model relies on the theory that “healthy guests live longer and can come back more often.” Apparently concerned by the size of many of his guests, he hopes that his guests will now have more of an incentive to lose weight before their visit. Somehow, I see larger guests checking in elsewhere.
