A Little Flying News

Passengers from ages 12 to 18 flying with Air France are now 100% cared for from beginning to end.

At check in, a member of the Air France staff will welcome the young passenger, and give them a special Planète Bleu badge which is colour coded according to the number of the little flyer’s connecting flights. They board all flights first, will be escorted between flights, and then handed over to the person waiting for them at their destination. At Paris- Charles de Gaulle the stop is often due to last more than two hours, but the unaccompanied minor can fully utilise the specially reserved Planète Bleu area safely.

The unaccompanied minors service which is currently in operation for children between the age of 4 and 12, remains the default service and is free of charge. In order to take advantage of the new Planète Bleu service, which carries a small additional charge, you MUST request it when booking flights.

Air France carries a million children between the ages of 2 and 12 years old, and 240 000 infants on an annual basis, and a total of 480 000 young passengers from 4 years old up to 12 benefit from Air France’s Planète Bleu service. Passengers of 2 years old can join the Flying Blue frequent-flyer programme. Check it all out at the Air France website.
