The transition from hotel to home is getting easier thanks to a service provided by Hilton’s Chicago O’Hare hotel which allows its guests the opportunity to check in for their flights using kiosks in the hotel lobby. Within the coming weeks, this service will be extened to 34 other hotels. Meanwhile, Holiday Inn, Hyatt and Mariott chains are also due to unveil similar trial services over the coming months.

Let’s hope this signals a new customer-friendly shift in our airport experiences, as of late (post 9/11) airports have not been the most relaxing of place to start and end a journey.
