Bariloche to Mendoza by Bus
15/01/2006 - We leave early in the morning. Mariella has been such a great host. If you have a car and spend a few days in EL Bolson, don’t hesitate to stay at the Altos del Sur hostel. We drive back to Bariloche, hand over our white Ford Ka (who suffered a bit). They drop us off to the Bus Station. Ciao Patagonia. 19 hours of bus to Mendoza. We booked our tickets on the Andesmar website. 230 pesos for 2 tickets in Semi Cama. Choose seats at the very front of the bus. You’ll enjoy the great sceneries. You will also laugh at the way Argentinians drive. They are wild. It´s a very long journey. The employee is getting our nerves a bit. He keeps screaming with his high pitched voice. We also realize it´s going be a tough journey when they start playing bingo for an hour. Also, make sure to bring snacks with you, or a meal. What they serve you isn´t great and tiny. If you’ve got the cash, take a first class ticket… It´s almost midnight, there is nothing around, except hawks looking for something to eat. We enter the Pampa region…
