Yotel
It was only a matter of time - the first two hotels actually located within an airport are due to open next sumer at Heathrow’s Terminal 4 and Gatwick’s South Terminal. Conceived by the founder of restaurant chain Yo-Sushi, Simon Woodruffe’s Yotels are planned for 15 other railway stations and airports around the world over the next five years.
Conceived as small capsule-style rooms offering weary travellers an instant accommodation option, each ‘pod cabin’ has been carefully designed to maximise comfort within the limited space. Rooms are expected to be £40 per night for economy rooms and £80 per night for standard rooms.
